In soliciting gifts to your club’s scholarship funds, you may either direct potential donors to U-M's online giving page or instruct them to write a check to U-M.

Online Giving

Clubs are encouraged to direct donors to U-M's online giving page if their scholarship fund is administered by U-M’s OFA. Donations via Check

If donors prefer to give via check, please instruct them to make their checks payable to "The University of Michigan" and designate the club scholarship name and account number on the memo line of the check (alternatively, they may include the scholarship name and account number in a cover letter enclosing the check). Unless a club has its own 501(c)(3) status, a club scholarship donation is only tax deductible if the check is payable to U-M.
