The Alumni Association’s development staff employs a donor-centric approach to fundraising. We identify and cultivate potential donors and work to understand their desires and passions; solicit donors for their assistance; and steward donors through continued communications and involvement.

Donors give to both U-M and the Association in a variety of different ways, including:

• a one-time gift

• a pledge

• a transfer of stock shares to U-M

• a gift in kind

• a bequest
