Thanking Donors and sharing Information
The University will thank any donor and issue a receipt for the donation for the donor’s records. It is not necessary for a club/affiliate president to personally thank the donor and it is difficult for the Office of Financial Aid to support this personalized process. Per University policy, the amount of each individual donation received by U-M is considered private information.
The Alumni Association will also acknowledge all gifts made to club/affiliate OFA and LEAD funds that are hosted by the Alumni Association with a thank you email. Clubs and affiliates may biannually request a list of fund donors from the Alumni Association’s development liaison at [email protected] so the club fundraising committee can personally acknowledge these gifts if you wish to do so.
