Advertising Your Scholarship
Here are some common methods to notify admitted U-Mstudents from your area about your club/affiliate scholarship:
Advertise: Include information about your scholarship on your website, and advertise it in your email messages and via social media.
Contact high schools: Contact local high schools’ guidance departments, who can have your club/affiliate scholarship information on file for interested students. Alumni student recruiters in your area may be able to help you with this task. Contact students: Reach out to admitted students directly via email, letter, or phone call, congratulate them on their acceptance to U-M, and encourage them to apply.
If your club/affiliate is interested in contacting all newly admitted students in your area, you may obtain a list by contacting Diane Powers, U-M Office of Undergraduate Admissions, at [email protected]. For the most complete list, request it be compiled after April 15.
If your club/affiliate is interested in contacting only those newly admitted students in your area who meet designated criteria (e.g., students who meet certain GPA, financial, or
other criteria required by the scholarship), contact Elaine Crook, U-M Office of Financial Aid, at [email protected] or 734.763.4119.
