The Alumni Association has developed functionality that will allow an Attendee to quickly check-in at an event, free up Club Leader time at an event, and improve the look of event confirmation emails.

There are a few things for event moderators/club leaders/volunteers to be aware of:

1. If selected for the event, the email will include a unique QR code that an attendee can use to check in at an event. (Please see the attachment for an example of the new template.) 
2. The new template also includes a link to a ticket with the QR code, that can be printed as well.
3. Upon event entry, an attendee will be asked to present the QR code from the email on their mobile phone or their printed ticket
4. The Moderator/Volunteer/Club Leader will scan the QR code using an app or their phone’s camera on their preferred device (Android or iPhone).
   • AAUM has tested on iPhone 6 and later. The camera does scan QR codes and presents a pop up to show the moderator whether the attendee has been successfully checked in or not. 
   • Simply open your phone’s camera, aim it at the code and click the notification that appears. See photo below.
   • Android cameras should also properly scan QR codes without having to download an application
